Event Information
Join Alysen Abel, City Engineer for the City of Spring Hill, and Stephanie Boyce, Public Works Director for the City of Mission, for “SS4A: A Tale of Two Cities,” a discussion comparing and contrasting how two very different Kansas communities approached the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) planning process.
This session will explore the similarities and differences in developing transportation safety action plans in a rapidly growing suburban community versus a fully developed urban community. Presenters will share lessons learned, public engagement strategies, challenges encountered, next steps, and practical advice for agencies considering or currently pursuing SS4A funding and planning efforts.
Whether your community is just getting started or already implementing safety initiatives, attendees will walk away with real-world insights and ideas that can be applied to communities of all sizes.
